The outfielder previously helped the Houston Astros securing the championship in 2017.

The Toronto Blue Jays reached their first championship series following the 1993 season by overcoming the Mariners in the seventh game seven of the ALCS.

Trailing 3-1, the star outfielder hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning, guiding the only Canadian franchise in Major League Baseball to a 4-3 victory in the seven-game series. Awaiting them are the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team that is the defending champions, in the upcoming World Series.

"It's incredible for this squad, the city, the nation," commented Springer, a star of the Houston Astros team that won the 2017 title. "It's truly an unbelievable moment."

The veteran has now slugged 23 total October home runs, making him third on the list behind Manny Ramirez (29) and Altuve (27).

"I can't think of another person in the world that I'd prefer in that spot except for Springer with his playoff prowess," noted Schneider.

Seattle's team, after leading the early in the series, remain the one club that has never reached in a championship series.

Mariners manager Dan Wilson stated "certainly that it's going to sting" in the wake of his team's loss at their home ballpark, but praised their work this season.

"This is a unique group. It's a shame that we finished on the losing end of this game," he continued.

Toronto's team claimed the title on both previous visits in 1992 and '93, and will host the Dodgers in the first game on Friday.
