Barcelona Set to Play First Game at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition over two years following their departure for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted an open training session inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
