Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

A jet transporting Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane touched down in accordance with standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson said in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.

This incident isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to turn back to the US capital after encountering a technical issue.
