These initial sketches and watercolour studies will then be expanded upon in the studio, with guests producing multiple abstract landscapes in acrylic paint to be shown in the local community. Hip Hop Don’t Stop is an uplifting, welcoming weekend dance intensive for adults in High Wycombe. The format throughout the camp is a party-style group warmup, then several hour-and-a-half classes covering different street dance styles, then an 60-minute freestyle session to demonstrate those solos. Participants are split into groups according to skill level, so it is suitable for those who are brand new to street dance, right up to experienced performers or teachers. The camp doesn’t include accommodation but there are a number of hostels and hotels nearby, and it is 23-35 minutes by train into central London.

Maritime Singing Weekend in Cornwall

This coastal town is the perfect spot for a maritime music retreat. Participants will be taught historic sailing songs from a folk singer and vocal coach, and try their hand at composing original ones. The schedule includes vocal warmups, breathing exercises, stagecraft advice and a final evening concert. The retreat is held in a country house overlooking St Ives Bay. All meals are provided, such as a Cornish cream tea on arrival, cooked or continental breakfasts, lunches to go and three-course dinners. Traditional rum, alas, is not provided.
